Prepare for the unexpected
An important training for those aspiring to climb routes in remote areas and multi-pitch climbs. Or simply for climbers who want to minimize risk and be prepared to respond in case of injuries or technical problems.
You will learn the basic self-rescue techniques, using minimal climbing gear. These techniques include escaping the belay, creating mechanical advantages (3:1, 5:1), rope ascension, etc. You will then practice a few variants of the following scenarios :
- Rescue of the lead climber
- Rescue of the second climber
Each scenario includes several variables that will influence your decision-making.
The decision-making process during rescues, risk management in general, and emergency response plans will be covered throughout the week-end.

2 days, 9 am to 5 pm

250$ + tx
Number of participants
4 to 6 participants
If the number of participants is insufficient, the course will be converted into a one-day private lesson (1 instructor for 2 participants) or will be postponed
Cancellation/Refund Policy
In the event of a cancellation and refund request by the client, a 10% transaction fee will apply.
Weather conditions
Some outings may be postponed in the case of bad weather.
Recommended prior experience
Experienced outdoor climber and multi-pitch knowledge recommended.
